Joys of Summer

Sunburnt cheeks,

Popsicle-dyed tongue,

Wet, wavy hair,

Hot sand,

Chlorine scented swimsuits,

Sandals and shorts,

Tank tops with pink tinged

Shoulders peaking out

From underneath,

Bright eyes of a child lost in the

Thought of some wild fantasy,

Those summertime joys bring.
